Write Up:
Seven of us met at Starbucks to grab hot drinks before heading out on a blustery snowy day to the Alberta Legislature to take in the lights, music and holiday decorations. Approaching the grounds we were dazzled by millions of multicoloured lights and snow covered trees. We were also impressed by a very detailed ice sculpture of a winter scene lit from behind in front of the Legislature building. We then went inside to warm up and listen to a violin group that was playing. We headed back outside to walk around the grounds for a bit before checking out the displays in the Interpretive Centre. There we had a fun time trying on government uniforms. Inside the Interpretive Centre we also found a Lego-version of the Legislature building. We continued on through the pedway and up the spiral staircase back to the rotunda in the Legislature building to listen to some songs from a local choir and refill our hot chocolates before we returned to our vehicles.

Thanks for coming out everyone!
