Itinerary:
Come join the EOC on a night you will remember for years.

We will gather at the Blackfoot Recreation area then head out on our bikes on the “Lost Lake” trail to a wood cabin. The cabin is equipped with a wood stove and several picnic tables. It is a great little setting. Once arrived a fire will be started and give us a chance to roast marshmallows, eat smors (graham wafer cracker with marshmallows and chocolate – mmmmmm yummy), cook hotdogs, make some popcorn and eat other great snacks. Meanwhile we can enjoy the setting sun, rising of the full moon, the birds and squirrels that visit the cabin and whatever music or stories told by your fellow EOC colleagues!

Later in the evening we will set out under the light of the full moon and head back. There will be sufficient light that there will be no need for lights. Yet if you would like to bring your lights just in case please do. Every time I’ve hiked this trail at night I’ve seen a herd of moose and heard coyotes. Thus, there is a very good chance we will see some wildlife along the way.

This ride is rated moderate because of the distance (about 20km’s return) and the terrain. With that said the path is not very technical and is very wide.
