Itinerary:
Welcome to the first in a series of hikes designed to educate you about the geology and natural features of our city. The book "Edmonton Beneath Our Feet" by the Edmonton Geological Society is the inspiration for this series of hikes. On this hike, we will learn about the 1915 flood and will see some flood level markers. Then we will hike along the river to Grierson Hill, where we will learn about the Humberstone Coal Mine and the Grierson Hill landslides. Afterwards, we will complete the hike by heading back to Dawson Park.

Please ensure that you have good footwear and are well hydrated. Dogs must be on leash for much of the hike. Make sure you have enough poop bags and water for your dog.
