We will head out to the Kananaskis Wilderness Hostel in Kananaskis Village on Friday night and get set up in our rooms. We will be split into men's and women's dorms, plus there are two private rooms booked. Private rooms will cost an additional $14 per person based on double occupancy (see notes section below). Bedding is provided and sleeping bags are not allowed, but you may bring your own pillow.

On Saturday, we will head down to Boundary Ranch and start the day off on horseback. We will head into the backcountry on trails above the tree line with views of the valley below. Don't forget your camera! We will then be served a barbecued steak lunch with all the trimmings.

After lunch, we will spend 2 hours surfing, splashing and paddling our way through the rapids in a whitewater raft on the Kananaskis River (class I - III). All of this will be provided by Inside Out Experience, one of our new club sponsors!

Afterwards, you can either cook your own dinner at the hostel or go out for dinner in town.

On Sunday, we will go for hikes or bike rides in the area and head home in the late afternoon. There are a number of hikes with varying levels of difficulty to choose from in the area.

This event is rated moderate as you must be sufficiently fit to be able to handle 4-5 hours of unaccustomed activity (activity that uses muscles you are not used to using).
