Itinerary:
Turns out Sherwood Park's dog park has good snow conditions for snowshoeing, as long as you're willing to get off the beaten path and go through a little bush. There are wide trails packed down well by dog walkers, so you can come even if you don't want to snowshoe.

We will snowshoe and/or walk for an hour and a half to two hours. If you choose to snowshoe, this will be a better event for those who are not new to snowshoeing, as there will be some narrow trails with some possibly deep snow to manage.

Snowshoes can be rented at Totem or MEC if you don't already have your own.

Remember that this is a dog park, so if you bring a dog, please make sure they are good in settings with large numbers of other dogs and be responsible for your dog's behaviour.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:We will meet at the easternmost parking lot of the dog park at 2:00 pm. If you would like a ride, please email me and I'll try to work something out for you.

From Sherwood Park, go south on Range Rd. 231 from Wye road. Turn left on Township Road 522. Dog park entrance will be on right. Bypass first parking lot and park at end of road.

From Edmonton, take the Whitemud eastbound or 216 southbound. If on Whitemud do not exit at 216 but go straight on until the road turns into Township Rd. 522. If on 216, take eastbound exit onto the 522 (not sure what sign will say, but the Whitemud exit will be the westbound exit at the same location). Continue east on Township Road 522 past Range Rd. 231. Dog park entrance will be on right. Bypass first parking lot and park at end of road.
