Itinerary:
The Royal Alberta Museum opened in 1967, and showcases the natural and cultural heritage of Alberta.

For a limited engagement, the museum is currently displaying a really awesome exhibit on the flora and fauna of the Arctic and Antarctic. This exhibit is very kid-friendly, but should be interesting for all of us. For more information on this exhibit, refer to their information pamphlet.

At 2 PM on March 21st, a special guest will be on display at the museum: a live penguin! This African Penguin comes to the museum from the West Edmonton Mall's Sea Life Caverns.

For those interested, we may also have a look at some of the other exhibits at the museum. These include:
  • The Syncrude Gallery of Aboriginal Culture, which displays the history of the First Peoples' of North America.
  • The Wild Alberta gallery, which teaches us about the wild creatures of this province.
  • The Natural History Gallery, which teaches about the rocks, minerals and fossils found under our feet. This gallery also contains the ever-popular "Bug Room".

  • Required Items to Bring:
