Itinerary:
I found a place that still has excellent snow conditions for snowshoeing! As an added bonus, there is a nice skating rink there too. We will snowshoe and/or skate for an hour or more, then meet in the hut to share some cookies/home baked goodies and sip some hot chocolate. This will be a good event for those new to snowshoeing.

There are no rental facilities, but snowshoes can be rented at Totem or MEC. Skates, well you probably have to own a pair of those.

Required Items to Bring:
Warm clothing appropriate for the weather
Toque, gloves, scarf
Skates or snowshoes or both
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Thermos of hot chocolate
Cookies or homemade treats to share (there is nowhere to buy food or drink)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:From the Whitemud, head south on 50 St. Take first right into Jackie Parker Rec Area. Drive to end of road and park in parking lot on right hand side near rink. Do not take first left after turning into Rec Area.

If you need a ride, email me and I'll try to work something out for you.

Notes:

As far as I know, the entire Jackie Parker Rec Area is an off leash dog park.
