St. Albert, Sturgeon River Urban Hike (3/7/2024)

Itinerary:
Come for a moderate paced evening walk in St. Albert.

The trail is paved and there may be a little ice or snow underneath bridges or in shaded areas, but should be mostly clear. Please bring appropriate footwear.

The City of St. Albert has lots to offer when it comes to the outdoor trail system. The Red Willow Trail system stretches down the river valley connecting to the City's major parks and neighborhoods. We will go along the trails towards Big Lake Provincial Park. We will then do a new loop back.


Required Items to Bring:
- Weather appropriate clothing (gloves, good footwear, etc)
- Water
- Ice cleats for icy sections
Recommended Items to Bring:

- Headlamp, or flashlight

How to Get There:
Event Directions:We will we will meet in the parking lot at the corner of St. Albert Rd (St. Albert trail in Edmonton) and Sturgeon Road (next to the label below) Address: 1 Sturgeon Road, St. Albert. You will see the parking lot on the North East side of the intersection beside a large red sign in the shape of a tree that says "Red Willow Park". There is an old cabin there.
