Itinerary:
We will meet at the carpool for 5:00 PM Friday. Please pack a dinner for the road or for when we arrive at the campground as we will not have time to stop on the way to Jasper.

I have booked 2 campsites at Wapiti Campground (6 KM south of Jasper). We are allowed 2 tents per site so we will not need to share.

Hikes have not been confirmed at this point but will most likely consist of either short hikes with a higher elevation gain or longer hikes with lower elevation gain. I would like to do at least 2 hikes on Saturday prior to returning to camp unless we do one long hike. Sunday I would like to possibly do a short hike around Jasper before we do Sulphur Skyline on our way home. If there is interest we can visit the Miette Hot Springs before returning to Edmonton.

Possible hikes include but are not limited to:(I am open to suggestions but will reserve final decision)

  • Overlander Trail
  • Maligne Canyon
  • Sulphur Skyline
  • Athabasca River Trail
  • If you have a Parks Canada pass please let me know if you can bring it to reduce the cost of purchasing one.

I have made the carpool mandatory to reduce the overall cost for each participant.
