Itinerary:

****Please be aware that conditions could be winter - like at this time of the year - Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of trail closures an alternative hike will be selected.

Elevation Gain: 700m
Distance: 8km return

We will meet at 6:45am at the Starbucks in Hamptons. Directions attached below. Our departure time is 7:15am at the latest. Carpool arrangements will be decided between yourselves once everyone gets here but be prepared to drive. Please arrange your own payments for gas/carpooling. We should be arriving in Jasper at 11 -11:30am. Please bring your own food for lunch and supper.

From Miette Hot Springs we will head out on the trail at 11:30 am - 12:00 pm and stop for lunch along the trail. The ascend will take us anywhere between 4 to 6 hours over 8 kms in total with an elevation gain of 700 m. The trail will split at Shuey Pass at the 2.5km mark. We will keep right and continue up the Skyline trail until we reach a meadow. This meadow will be a great spot to stop for lunch and a chance to change into some warmer clothing before heading up on the steeper exposed section of the hike. If everything goes according to plan, we should be done our descend at 6pm.

After the hike, those that need a repose from the climb are more then welcome to unwind at the hot springs. The Miette Springs are opened until 9 pm on October 10th.

NOTE THE PLANNED HIKE MAY CHANGE DEPENDING ON WEATHER CONDITIONS. NO WORRIES, THIS AREA HAS LOTS OF AWESOME HIKES TO CHOOSE FROM.
