|We will meet in Wolf Willow Ridge at the
designated Fort Edmonton Footbridge-parallel-
parking-section located on Wanyandi Way, west
of its intersection with Wize Court. Below is a
google maps link to the exact meeting location
The hike will be an easy to moderate pace and will include paved and unpaved areas. Length of hike will be approx. 7-10km and should take us 2-2.5 hours to complete.
We will make a detour to the Edmonton Footbridge, then head along the river on a single track trail for a look at the new bridge construction near Terwillegar. We will return the same way and head towards the infamous 200 step staircase. There will be some beautiful views once we reach the top ! There will be a challenge to complete 5 sets of the staircase without stopping for breaks.
Please note that part of the hike is off leash designated. I am open to having dogs on the hike, however they must be leashed when necessary. The trails are a mix of slush/ice/mud so bring appropriate footwear.
