Itinerary:
This weekend you will have the opportunity to try a variety of water crafts such as: kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding. We will be camping at Zeiners Provincial Park on Pigeon Lake.
We will meet as a group at the designated carpool site to arrange & assign cars to pick up our water crafts. Please indicate in the notes section if you can help with this. Both Totem & MEC supply all th necessary tie downs to secure the boats, as well as paddles, balers and life jackets. If anyone has a watercraft they are willing to bring and allow others to try out, then this will reduce the cost per person from rentals.
We will discuss this,tent assignments, meals and other activites at the MANDATORY pre-meeting which will take place on TUESDAY July 14th at 6:30 pm Location TBA

Friday: Car Pool, pick up equiptment and set up camp
Saturday: Watercrafts, games, exploring
Sunday:Depart by noonish, return equiptment

Tent
sleeping bag
cooking stove/bbq

Food

Approriate clothes for all weather
All food/beverages will be the responsibility or each camper.

We can discuss if folks would like to coordinate a potluck for dinner one night.

How to Get There:

Carpool Cost: The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $58.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Tuesday, April 23, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.

Frist to pay! first on the registration list. Remember, even if you sign up, but don't pay right away, others can move ahead of you if they pay.
You will need to send me your answer to the security question to complete the transaction. IMPORTANT NOTE: As this is a water filled weekend I require anyone attending to be comfortable in the water and have at least basic swimming skills. Your safety is your responsibility in deciding to attend this weekend. We are only a 10-15 minute drive to the Village of Pigeon if folks want to go for ice cream play mini golf, or even need some groceries. There is a go-cart course another 15 minutes away for thrill seekers.

Member Cost:$70.00/Person
Cost Includes:Watercraft Rentals include: -1 canoe -2 Single Kayaks -1 double Kayak -1 Stand up Paddle Board THis will be split between 8 people. Also the cost of booking 2 campsites and the site reservation fee.
