University of Alberta's Devonian Botanical Gardens is a field collection of some of the most beautiful plants you'll ever see. Located just north of Devon, it's only about 30 minutes out of Edmonton. It even has an elaborate Japanese Garden, among other specialized displays.

On July 2nd, Devonian Botanical Gardens has a special event going on - Craft Beer & Croquet Date Night. 6 pm till dusk. The croquet mallets are lined up, the grass is green, the flowers are blooming and the craft beer is chilled! Gather your date or your gang and head to the Garden - garden party wear is fully encouraged. Sherbrooke Liquor will lead the craft beer tastings, tasty slider samplers on the menu.

To find me at the carpool location, I will be driving a silver Toyota Rav4 and wearing my yellow EOC baseball cap.

If you're meeting me at the gardens, I will be waiting at the garden entrance and will be wearing my yellow EOC baseball cap until 6:30pm. If you are running late, please bring my phone # with so you can contact me and we'll try to find each other.

The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $14.50 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Friday, April 19, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.
