Itinerary:
We will be doing the Maligne Canyon Ice Walk, taking the tour with local Jasper guides, and staying at the Maligne Canyon Hostel.

We will be carpooling to Jasper Friday night and staying at the Hostel, having a leisurely brunch Saturday morning, and walking over to the Maligne Canyon Parking lot for a 12:00 noon tour of the Canyon. It is spectacular down there, you can't access the canyon in the summer and the winter is the only time to see the rocks from the bottom up. The tour takes 3-4 hours and is a good walk, but not too strenuous. After our tour people can go to Jasper Park Lodge for skating or bring their skiis and try backcountry skiing, or head for town for some shopping. Its up to you!

For food I would like to propose a spaghetti feast for Saturday supper, spaghetti is easy to do in the Hostel kitchen, and garlic bread and Ceasar salad will round out the meal. Brunch and snacks and desserts are up to each individual person.

Sunday morning will be up to each person/carpool, you can head for home if you wish, or explore Jasper some more. We need to be checked out of the Hostel by 10 am.

Oh, and I should mention, Maligne Canyon is the hostel without running water. It has heat and lights, but no running water. We'll be boiling our own dish water!
