Backpacking Conditioning - Daytime hike (11/8/2013)

Itinerary:
Come out for a daytime backpack conditioning hike!

Bring whatever type of daypack or backpack and amount of weight you are comfortable carrying to start with. As the winter goes on and we get stronger, we can increase the amoung of weight in our packs.

We will meet in Hazeldean at the new covered shelter along 68th Ave and 93rd St and hike in the Millcreek Ravine toward the Muttart, cross the river and head toward the Walterdale bridge, cross to the other side of the ravine and travel back to the shelter.

This is the first in a planned series of daytime backpack conditioning hikes in the Mill Creek area.

Required Items to Bring:
dress in layers for the weather
hiking boots
ice traction for your boots if conditions are wintery
filled day pack
water
light snacks
