Itinerary:
This is the event that was cancelled from a few weeks ago.
Meet by Vi's for Pies cafe (13408 Stony Plain Rd NW, Edmonton, T5N 2C4) at 6:15pm for a 6:25 departure. There are a few parking spaces nearby.
I will be wearing or carrying a yellow EOC baseball cap, and standing by a grey Hyundai wagon so you can recognise me.

NOTE #1: Please note that Stony Plain Road is currently closed to traffic at the bridge over Groat Road, but you can access the meeting place via 102 or 107 Avenues, then cutting through the residential areas. Refer to a good streetmap for detailed directions.

NOTE #2: keep an eye on your emails and the weather forecast in the lead-up to the event, in case of any thunderstorms / heavy rain.

From the meeting place we will walk through the lovely and rather prosperous area of Glenora, and will take in Alexander Circle which must be one of the prettiest traffic circles I have ever seen!
We'll continue south of 102 Avenue towards the River Valley, and head into the Valley via a set of stairs in St Georges' Crescent. There are wonderful views by the top of these stairs, so we will enjoy those too.
Once in the River Valley (MacKinnon Ravine) we'll continue east for a short distance then head back into Glenora via the paved trail into Ramsay Ravine. This will bring us out near Alexander Circle, and from there it is a short hop to the starting point.

I intend this hike to be at a moderate pace (as opposed to a training hike), but please note that the paved trail through Ramsey Ravine will be a steady climb uphill for about 15 mins at typical EOC urban hike walking pace! :-)

Dogs are welcome on this hike, if you're bringing your four-legged friend(s) along, please include them when you sign up.

After the hike, we can head into Vi's for Pies if people wish! :-)
