This week will go outside of Edmonton to the Strathcona Wilderness Centre to add some hills to our hikes.

By now you should be increasing weight in your pack to get a feel for weight on your back.

We will meet at Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre in the SE Corner (Safeway side) for those wishing to carpool. You will be able to recognize me with my yellow EOC hat. We will meet at 9:15 am and leave by 9:20 a.m.

For those wishing to meet at the event please be at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre by 10:15 a.m. Please wait for attendees car pooling in front of the ski lodge.

The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $19.72 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Saturday, April 20, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.
