Itinerary:
NOTE: this hike will continue as planned today.

We will meet at 11:00am for a 11:10 departure.
Meet at the parking lot (corner nearest the river) at the far end of Buena Vista Road.
I will be wearing a yellow EOC cap, and be standing close to a grey Hyundai wagon.

This hike will be at a brisk pace (at least 5km/h) and there are a few steady climbs, so this will not be a suitable hike for "slowpokes".

We will walk north from the parking lot through Buena Vista Park, and will make our way up the steady climb to Riverside Drive. This area includes one of Edmonton's nicest viewpoints, so we'll check that out too!
We'll then walk around the residential area, rejoin the MacKinnon Ravine by 142 Street and continue up the Ravine to its western end by 148 Street.
From there we will walk south on 148 Street and head down McKenzie Ravine to rejoin the river valley trails. From here we will return to the starting point.

Please note the following:
1/ Suitable footwear & clothing for the conditions is required.
2/ Dogs are welcome on this hike, and if you are bringing your dog(s) then they must be included in the registration.
3/ Dog owners must comply with all City of Edmonton bylaws.
4/ This will be at a brisk pace, so you must be able to walk at a good pace for approx 2.5 to 3.0 hours (although we will have short breaks along the way).
5/ Ice grips / traction devices are recommended.
