Itinerary:
Welcome to BEGINNER SNOWSHOE II THE SEQUEL, We will have "HOPEFULLY" experienced a good base and lots of snow. There is also a lot of snow untouched in the park and I say "YAHOO!" Let's get out for a little easy snowshoe fun. Beginners ARE ENCOURAGED to come out and try it. It's a great opportunity to just check out the sport before you tackle something harder, or out-of-town.

This is an off-leash park, so feel free to bring your dog if he/she is good with other dogs.

Some people find it difficult to find their way to Terwillegar Park. Please make sure you know the directions and you allow yourself enough time to get here, and keep my phone number with you in case you get lost. If you are bringing guests, including children, be sure to bring waivers along for all of them.
These will be required for your guests to attend the event. If you have any questions about this, please contact the coordinator well in advance of the event.

It is a New Year... the choice is yours, pay$2 for the event or pay $20 in donations for the year and then not worry about the donation again in 2013 I'll be happy to accomodate which ever you choose.

Louise V. has graciously volunteered to be our celebrity guest instructor. Louise has spent more time exploring, researching in the field and winter trekking than most people would all summer on a purely recreational basis. This is a great opportunity to connect with an individual from whom you may learn more in an afternoon than in a season watching the Discovery Network....

How to Get There:
Event Directions:The park is located at the very west end of Rabbit Hill road, off Terwillegar Drive. For those coming from Whitemud Drive, take the Terwillegar exit, and turn right at Rabbit Hill Road. The road will go down the hill into the Terwillegar Park parking lot, which is where we will meet. Look for the coordinator with the yellow EOC ball cap.

Notes:
This is an excellent way to experience the sport without a large commitment money or time wise. If you are renting snowshoes you may wish to reserve these rentals earlier than later as these rentals are especially popular on weekends. When you arrange your rental it may be worth enquiring at the store whether the rental or a portion of the cost may be applied towards the purchase of this equipment at a future date.

- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in EOC events.
- Please scroll through and read the entire online waiver when you sign up.
- Details of this event are subject to undergo a change at any point in time, with or without warning.
