Itinerary:
I have reserved six tickets for the University of Alberta's Cabane à Sucre. This event is hosted by the U of A Alumni Association and University of Alberta Recreation Services.

The Cabane à Sucre is a unique, French-Canadian tradition. A Cabane à Sucre is a sugar house (also known as a sap house, sugar shack, sugar shanty) where sap collected from sugar maple trees is boiled into maple syrup. During the spring when the sap is flowing, families and friends gather in these sugar houses to celebrate with a variety of activities, including eating "la tire" (maple toffee).

Join me for an afternoon of festivities, including a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh, snowshoeing, sampling la tire, and enjoying the vibrant music of Les Bûcherons (The Lumberjacks).

The schedule for the afternoon is as follows:
1:00 - 3:30 p.m. - Sleigh rides and la tire
1:00 - 2:00 p.m. French-Canadian music
2:00 - 2:30 p.m. Wooden Spoon workshops
2:30 - 3:00 p.m. French-Canadian music

Sleigh rides will be available from the main parking lot to site #3.

The event is free and a $1 donation is recommended for la tire (maple toffee) with proceeds going to the U of A Campus Food Bank

If you are a U of A grad, please indicate it in the notes' section of your registration.
