Itinerary:
Come see the Lost Fingers with us at Festival Place in Sherwood Park.

Check out a sample of their stuff at You Tube: Pump Up the Jam.

Meet in the front lobby area at 7:00. Show starts at 7:30. Look for the coordinator wearing a yellow EOC ball cap. I will have everyone's tickets.

Payment required by 5PM on August 20th so we can get seats together. I am partial to Cabaret Seating at a table (very front), so that's what I'm planning on getting us. If, by August 20th, that seating is no longer available, I'll get us the best available and give everyone a refund on the extra.
You can e-mail me your payment or send via PayPal to rhonda.scheurer@gmail.com. I will be on the Icefields Parkway ride for four days before the payment cut-off so I WILL NOT be around to nag you for your payment! If you want to come, make sure I have your $dough$ by 5PM on Monday, August 20th!

From their official web site:

Byron Mikaloff / Christian Roberge / Alex Morissette

In 1928, at the young age of 18, Django Reinhardt lost the use of two fingers in a fire. Following that accident, Reinhardt developed a unique, jazz inspired-style of guitar playing and became one of the world's most influential musicians.

In 2006 guitar virtuosos Byron Mikaloff and Christian Roberge met jazz bassist Alex Morissette at the Quebec Conservatory of Music.

In 2008 the trio combined great musicianship with a sense of humor, and united their unique voices to create an ingenious tribute to the 80's and Reinhardt, with the album "Lost In The 80's".

The album was an instant success. More than 200,000 copies sold in less than a year and live shows were in demand along with their trademark colourful suits. The Montreal International Jazz Festival did not hesitate and selected the group as their closing performers, and the Calgary Stampede and Vancouver Winter Olympics look forward to hosting The Lost Fingers in the coming months.

The Lost Fingers' shows have become a must see attraction across the world; their irresistible sound and style crosses borders. "Lost In The 80's" has seen success in Mexico and Europe, allowing the group to play major international markets and for tens of thousands of fans to witness their lightning fast ascension.

In June 2009, Byron, Alex, and Christian released their second album: "Rendez-Vous Rose", an homage to great French chart toppers. This sophomore album contains 13 tracks, including pairings with Plastic Bertrand, La Compagnie Creole, Eric Lapointe, and Nanette Workman.

THE LOST FINGERS released, in November 2010: "Gypsy Kameleon". The Lost Fingers return again with their resourceful approach and perfect gitan technique, the trio from Quebec City still find their inspiration from the classic 80's repertoire, and also does notably honor the Canadian stars from this era notably: Corey Hart, Bryan Adams, Rush and Men Without Hats.

After more than 400 000 albums of their three previous albums and after more than 500 shows across the planet the band releases LA MARQUISE in late March 2012. An album true to the Lost Fingers form including several international hits never released in Canada as well as new songs always delivered with their own signature style and flair.
