Itinerary:
Have you always wanted to participate in a Habitat for Humanity project? Here's your chance.

Habitat for Humanity Edmonton builds homes and hope in communities across Northern Alberta, including: Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Leduc, Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove, Edson, Wetaskiwin, Rocky Mountain House, Hinton, Barrhead, Grande Prairie, Whitecourt, and Stony Plain.

The EOC group that signs up for this event will help build a house in St. Albert.

Habitat for Humanity Edmonton was founded in 1991 and volunteers have helped to build 197 homes to date. In 2011, the Habitat for Humanity Edmonton helped 45 families; Habitat for Humanity Canada helped 227 families; and Habitat for Humanity International helped 81,399 families. Pretty impressive, eh?

Join me and be part of the vision to see a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.

Volunteers will perform a variety of construction tasks under the direct supervision of the site supervisor, crew leader and/ or trades person. Some tasks will use more labour than technical skill. Please be assured that whatever we are asked to do will be beneficial to the build.

Please read the Required Items to Bring and Recommended Items to Bring sections for specific and important information about equipment and clothing.

Lunch and cold drinks will be provided at noon. If you have special dietary needs, please bring a lunch and feel free to join in for any part of the meal that suits you. Water and coffee will be available on site.

Our volunteer team will meet on Tuesday, September 4 in order to complete the requisite paperwork and waivers. Sign-up for the mandatory pre-meeting here.

Meeting details will be confirmed with those who are signed-up and at the meeting we will finalize car pools (if required) and any other logistics that are required prior to our volunteer shift.

Please note: The registration cut-off is approximately two weeks before the event in order to ensure that we have sufficient volunteers on board to fulfill our commitment. Please keep in mind that if you need to cancel out of the event after the registration deadline, it's quite inconvenient since I may not be able to replace you on the volunteer team. This may, in turn, jeopardize our ability to proceed with this event. Please only sign-up for this event if you are sure you can attend.
