Itinerary:
The plan is to assemble at the visitor information centre just off hwy 16 and just prior to the pay entry gate on the north side of hwy 16. Look for my silver Hyundai Sante Fe. As I am coming from the east, I will not be organizing a car pool for this event. Participants may however, arange car pooling amongst themselves.

From the information centre, we will ready our bikes and go for a ride all the way to the north entrance. The park attendant said it was 20km but my computer measured 19km so figure 38 - 40km return. Depending on the group and energy, we may continue 5km more to Lamont which would add 10km more roundtrip. Plan on having a snack break at our turn around. The road should be in excellent shape. Gravel should be limited to trailhead turnoffs and thus avoidable. It is not flat but the hills are not steep either. It has varied terrain and quite enjoyable.

Please dress according to the weather and bring clothes / layers that will keep you warm on your bike should it be a little cool. It is early spring afterall. Note regarding ability: I am an average cyclist. I go about 20km/hour against the wind and 30km/hour plus with the wind on average.

Also, I ask that this not be your bike's first ride for the year. Please make sure your bike is ride ready and that it has been out at least once and is in good working condition after a long winter. This event may also be suitable for hybrid bikes but please no mountain bikes.
