Itinerary:
UPDATE AS AT APRIL 5th:
Please note that this hike has been changed from Chickakoo to the one described below.

We will meet at 10:00am for a 10:15 departure.
Meet at the parking lot (corner nearest the river) for the Valley Zoo, by the end of Buena Vista Road.
I will be wearing a yellow EOC cap, and be standing close to a grey Hyundai wagon.
Please note there is no carpool for this event.

We will walk north along the west side of the river, eventually climbing the longish steady hill up to Riverside Drive.
There is a great viewpoint over the city on Riverside Drive, so we can stop there for a few moments and enjoy the view!
We will then make our way into Mackinnon Ravine, walk east towards Groat Bridge, cross the bridge and pick up the riverside trail towards Hawlerak Park.
We will then cross the river again via the Buena Vista Footbridge, and then return to the starting point along the west side of the river.

Please wear suitable footwear & clothing for the conditions, and ice grips / traction devices are strongly recommended as it will likely be slippery in parts.
