Want to walk five kilometres that will make an impact on the
other side of the world?
Welcome to the 28th annual World
Partnership Walk. More than $70 million raised to
date in the fight against global poverty. The Walk is an annual
event to help raise awareness about and funds for global
development efforts in Asia and Africa.
Join the Edmonton Outdoor Club Team for this year's
Walk. This is a fantastic
opportunity for each of us to do our part for global development
efforts.
Here are the details of this year's Walk (we will be doing the 5km walk):
WPW Edmonton details
Your registration for this event is not completed until you've also
joined the EOC team at the WPW website.
Following the Walk, we will stick around the Alberta Legislature
Grounds to enjoy a BBQ with all the fixings (for just $5) and take in
the entertainment on the stage at the bandshell on the Grounds.

| Event Directions: |  | To make things easy, we'll meet at the bottom of the main
outside stairs that lead to the Alberta Legislature Building.

The Alberta Legislature Grounds are accessible by public transportation
and there are bicycle racks. Impark lots and meters are also
available.
The coordinators will wear the yellow EOC ball cap to help you spot
us. Also, you can check out the volunteer page to see what we look
like so

encouraged to raise funds. We encourage all team members to at
least sponsor themselves for whatever amount they can afford
even if they choose not to fundraise.
