Itinerary:
Ben Johnson of Mountain Madness Tours is going to take us out for four days of supported riding on the Icefields Parkway.

Schedule:
- Friday: Drive from Edmonton to Jasper. Ride from Jasper to Athabasca Hostel. 38kms.
- Saturday: Ride from Athabasca Hostel to Rampart Creek Hostel. 109kms.
- Sunday: Ride from Rampart Creek Hostel to Lake Louise Alpine Club / Hostel. 95kms.
- Monday: Ride to Banff on the Bow Valley Parkway. 57km. Drive back to Edmonton.

Ben will "leapfrog" the group (approx 10km at a time) as we ride, ensuring that everyone is along, and stopping for meal breaks.

Meals during the ride: We will bring and prepare our own food. We will do that the night before - make sandwiches and put in sealed bags, have fruit cut and in bags or sealed containers, and general snack foods, meusli bars, candy, chips, etc, and put into separate containers that are easy for Ben to seal up and pack away. If you want to do your own meals for the entire trip, you're welcome to do that. If you want to share meal purchase and preparation, we can arrange that.

The cost for this trip is $360/each, assuming a full bus of NINE attendees. With eight, the cost would have been $420/each. Cost includes your transport, support and hostels. It does not include food. Please make payment directly to Rhonda via cash, cheque or Internet Banking. No PayPal please because of the hefty service charges.

I will need your payment by February 1st. I will be paying a deposit to Ben on the 29th. If a number of attendees don't pay by the 1st, this should give me time to find replacements and get their payments. If I don't have the minimum number of attendees confirmed and paid by February 28th, this trip will be cancelled and all who have paid previously will receive a full refund. After February 28th, no refunds will be given, but if you have to cancel, I will do everything I can to try and find a replacement attendee to take (and pay for) your spot.

Note about insurance: Ben has appropriate insurance coverage for passengers in his van, but he does not have insurance to cover participants during the actual bike riding. All participants will have to read, understand and sign Ben's waiver before participating. The bike riding portion of the tour is at our own risk.

Required Items to Bring:
- Road-worthy bicycle - hybrids and mountain bikes are ok as long as the bike (and the rider) can do the trip.
- Helmet, safety gear
- Spare tubes and repair kit
- Food and water
- Clothing for variable weather, personal effects
- Do NOT bring bedding - that is provided by the hostels
- Pack using soft-sided luggage and food cooler as much as possible. We may combine coolers at the meeting place if there are a number of half-full coolers.

How to Get There:
