Itinerary:
This is an exploratory hike, and terrain / backpack training.

It may be part bush-wacking but that is part of the adventure. Be prepared for wilderness travel.

We'll meet at 6:15 for Registration and leave on our hike at 6:30. We will meet at the parking lot on the South side of 23rd Ave just to the east of the Bridge over the Whitemud Creek. This is the dip(small valley) in the road between 119th Street and Rabbit Hill Road. You can only access this from the eastbound lanes of 23 ave.
Watch for an orange and white Yaris (clownfish) and/or a light blue Toyota Matrix, and/or the yellow EOC ball cap.
We will hike south the along the Whitemud Creek toward the Anthony Henday. The hike should be about 2-3 hours. We may exit the ravine and take the paths along the outskirts depending on the time.

Please don't wear sneakers on this hike - the terrain is very rugged and we may be crossing beaver dams. Be sure to bring water to keep hydrated and energized during the hike.
