Itinerary:

You may be disappointed to hear that this event has nothing to do with William Shakespeare...

June 22nd is the longest day of the year. Many cultures mark the occasion with a variety of festivals and celebrations. We will mark the occasion with a nice hike in the River Valley!

Meet at the parking lot for the Muttart Conservatory at 6:30PM for a 6:40PM departure (I will be waiting at the NW corner of the parking lot, close to 98 Avenue)

(Note: please allow yourself plenty of time to get to the meeting place, as there are major roadworks nearby at the northern end of Scona Road)

We will cross over the footbridge at 98 Avenue, and head NE through Cloverdale and Forest Heights, before crossing the river at Dawson Bridge. There is a bit of a steady climb up to Forest Heights, but don't worry we'll have a breather at the top!

We will then continue along the north side of the river through Riverdale, cross the river at the Cloverdale Footbridge and return to the starting point.

Depending upon the "mosquito forecast", it may be worth taking bug spray.....
