Itinerary:
Skiing in Lake Louise for the Family Day weekend, what could be more fun? This trip is suitable for novices, intermediates and experts alike. Come out ski, eat, drink and be merry at the HI - Lake Louise Alpine Center.

Members will drive out to Lake Louise on Friday evening, and will spend 3 nights at the HI-Lake Louise Alpine Center, with 2 full days of skiing at the beautiful Lake Louise Ski Resort.

Accommodations at the HI-Lake Louise Alpine Center will be in shared rooms of 4-5 EOC members. Amenities include bedding, washrooms, showers, large common spaces, and an onsite, fully equipped, shared kitchen. There is also an onsite restaurant, Bill Peyto's Cafe, that is open from 7:30 am - 9:00 pm and serves breakfast, lunch and supper.

The Lake Louise Ski Resort has a variety of terrain for all levels of skiers. There are 3 day lodges located on the hill that serve food, drinks and have washrooms available. The lifts run from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm daily. There are shuttles that run between the hostel and the skill hill every 30 mins (for free!) so you can ski as much or as little as you like.

Participants will be responsible for their own breakfast each morning. People that need to get rentals in Lake Louise should be ready by 8:00 am to go to the hill with Nathan. People that have their own gear can take the 8:45 am shuttle to meet everyone at the hill at 9:00am. You can bring your own lunch to the hill (don't forget your daypack) or you can purchase lunch at one of the day lodges on the mountain (don't forget you wallet). You can head back to the hostel at anytime, we will be meeting in the kitchen at 6:00 pm for potluck dinner on both Saturday and Sunday. Details regarding the organization of the potlucks will be provided approximately one week prior to the event

If you want to take it easy, or indulge in the Lake Louise nightlife everything is within walking distance of the hostel.

Cost includes 3 night stay at the hostel and a 2 day lift ticket.

Ski equipment rentals are available in Lake Louise but you may save time and money if you rent your equipment from Edmonton before leaving Edmonton - contact Nathan for further info or see Lake Louise Ski Resort for rental rates.
