Itinerary:
Stair climbing is a great way to burn calories and condition your heart, lungs and legs. We'll be meeting in the gravel parking lot near the Royal Glenora Club at 6:00 p.m for registration and introductions. We'll start climbing the stairs at 6:15 p.m. after a 3 - 4 minute group warm-up and stretch.
The stairs there are a favorite among stair climbers in the city because they are challenging, wide and offer a great view of the river valley, not to mention all of the other "eye candy". How's that for carrot dangling?? Lots of clubs work out there doing Bootcamps etc. You'll be free to move at your own pace and take breaks as often as needed. After 30 mins or when everyone has done all they can, we will head into the River Valley for a hike (1.5 - 2 hours) where we will encounter more stairs and some nice hills to hike. You will be invited to take part in a cool down stretch at the end of the hike.
