Itinerary:
This trip leaves the Park and Ride lot at Century Park at 7:15 AM sharp on the morning of Saturday, June 26. We'll take a couple of short breaks along the way but otherwise head right to Golden, BC for an afternoon on the river with Alpine Rafting on their Ultimate Whitewater trip. Paddles, wetsuits, helmets and lifejackets will be provided, so you just need to bring your swimsuit and towel for the rafting.

We will head back to Banff for dinner and relax with a free evening of dining, hiking near the townsite and soaking in the hot springs (optional). We'll regroup and head to Canmore for a night's stay at Hostel Bear.

On Sunday those ambitious enough can join me on a steep morning hike at 9:00 AM up the easiest, no scrambling route to Ha Ling Peak, or just chill out in Canmore. We'll depart Canmore at 1:15 PM and be back in Edmonton at 5:30 PM.

Though no experience is required and hundreds of people raft the Kicking Horse every day, be aware that this is a challenging trip on a wild river that has claimed lives before. You will have to sign a liability waiver with Alpine Rafting before you go!
