Itinerary:
This is an exploratory hike. The coordinator has not been in this area in a long time. Sunday promises to be warm and sunny

It may be part bush-wacking but that is part of the adventure. Be prepared for wilderness travel.

We'll meet at 10:15 at the parking lot on the South side of 23rd Ave just to the east of the Bridge over the Whitemud Creek. This is the dip(small valley) in the road between 119th Street and Rabbit Hill Road.
Dave will be in the blue Hinda civic.
We will hike south along the Whitemud Creek and try to reach the Anthony Henday. The hike should be between 2 and 3 hours. We will have breaks for snacks along the way.

You could encounter snow,slush,mud, slippery conditions, this time of year, etc. - dress accordingly.Please don't wear sneakers on this hike. Be sure to bring water and if need be, trail mix, power bars, to keep hydrated and energized during the hike, bring poles for the down hill climb.

Appropriate footwear( No sneakers) and clothing appropriate to the weather water

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take the Whitemud Drive to the 119th Street exit, follow 119th Street south to 23rd Ave Turn Right onto 23rd Ave for few blocks until you come to a down hill with a bridge at the bottom. The parking lot is just before the bridge on your left hand side. You can only access the parking from the easttbound lanes on 23 ave.
