Okay, technically the full-moon is on the 31st, not the 30th, but we need to prepare our bodies for the abuse they're going to take on the 31st, so what better way to do that than a late-night ski at Blackfoot!

Due to the distance involved (15.7km), you must be an intermediate skier or a beginner who is very strong / fit enough to stay with the group. We will be skiing at only a moderate pace
but you need to be able to keep up, otherwise this event may not be for you.

There will not be a carpool for this event but if you need a ride, the coordinator will do his best to arrange something for you.

The plan is to meet at the Islet Lake parking lot at Blackfoot Grazing Reserve at 7 p.m. Expect to be skiing for 2.5-3.0 hours or so. We will take the long way via Siksika trail to reach Lost Lake Shelter (10.5km), where we will stop for a hopefully still-warm hot chocolate (bring your own) and a rest and some convo. From there we will head back via the Highline trail to Islet Lake.

You can get a map of Blackfoot here.
