Write Up:
We had a great day hiking at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre east of Sherwood Park.

The clouds were very ominous starting out but the rain held off for the most part – excellent!

The 12 of us hiked on the outside trails from east to west (6.8km), then after our snack break we meandered back & forth on the inner trails hitting the black trail with a couple steep hills along the way (3.6km).

In total we went 10.4 km in about 2 hrs 15 mins.

When we returned to Bonnie Doon, Linda & I headed off for lunch at the French Meadow Artisan & Bakery Café on Whyte Avenue for some delicious food & lattes.
