Sat, May 9 2009 - Day Hike - Strathcona Wilderness Centre (View Original Event Details)

We had a great hiking at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre east of Sherwood Park.
The weather was sunny for the most part except for our snack break when it decided to rain on us...but we decided to wait for it to stop & sure enough it did - excellent!
The 13 of us hiked on the outside trail from east to west, then after our break we meandered back & forth on the inner trails hitting the black trail with several steep hills.
In total we went 10.7 km in about 2 hrs 15 mins.
When we returned to Bonnie Doon, 5 of us headed off for lunch at Tony Romas.
