What a fabulous weekend! The hostel at Edith Cavell was great, the company fantastic and the food ….. literally sumptuous!
Thank you all for coming along on this trip, I think it’s a great way to make new friends and obviously the hiking in Jasper National Park is always ‘awesome’.
Special mentions go to Kathryn & June for their outstanding, yet totally different potato salads. To Sarah for using us as guinea pigs for her first ever quiche experiment (you can use us as food guinea pigs anytime Sarah!), Keith for a wicked chilli and Nathan, for 2 cheesecakes literally to die for!
Funnily enough a lot of this weekend seemed to focus on food, but that was by no means the least of our adventures! Both Jason and Jonas stripped down to the bare essentials for a swim in the 2nd lake on the stunning Geraldine Lake trail (whey hey!). Justin divulged his incredible talent of chopping wood to perfection! Lilla wins the award for taking the most photographs in one weekend trip – we expect to see some good ones Lilla.
Last, but not least – I feel the need to give honourable mentions …. Inderjeet is one of, if not the most improved hiker in the club (he did not mention dying of exhaustion once this trip!) and also to June – who can pick the perfect ‘sleeping rock’ just about anywhere!
