This was a fantastic beginner white water experience with lots of technical lessons. The rafting was excellent and the guides were awesome. Our camping area was spacious and located in a beautiful area along the Kicking Horse Beaverfoot. We had no rain all weekend and beautiful weather during Sunday’s adventure. Some of us explored the beautiful Wapta Falls on Saturday evening as well. At the drop point on Sunday morning we got all our rafting gear on, had a brief safety talk and demo, and then jumped into inflatables. The water was beautiful and definitely cold for those who jumped in. The rapids were all named appropriately, my favourite was the Shotgun and Portage and the guides entertained sufficiently with many jokes and stories of past mishaps at higher water levels in the summer. Speak to those who attended for more details. Our dinner at the Mad Trapper Pub (the only pub at the end of a class 4 white water course) was just what we needed at the end of the day.
