Write Up:
We hiked the scenic single track trails of Blackmud Creek. This turned into a "savannah like bushwhacking" experience following game trails, and pioneer graffiti artist tracks. Speaking of pioneers we can imagine that most of the river valley trails were like this before the settlers came in the 1800's (minus the drone of the Anthony Henday traffic, power lines, bridges, "art work" and fences). We then found our way to the gravel pathway along the top of the ravine leading all the way to Ellerslie Gift and Garden. After a 20 minute break window shopping at the greenhouse (Dave actually bought himself a plant), we hiked back the way we came. Upon request we did a mini nature trail loop just to ensure that it was "a different loop" back to our cars ;)
