What an awesome group of people who came out to enjoy the ideal snow conditions. Our view from the top of the Tawatinaw Valley ski hill was a panoramic view of the surrounding country side. It was very surreal to ski in a rural setting. I joked that I was on the lookout for cows that might cross our path on the slopes. According to the manager he saw a couple of moose up on the cross country trails when he was grooming and that often deer will just stand on the side of trails and watch the skiers. Maybe a wildlife crossing sign is in order just in case. Now that we’ve enjoyed the multiple trails on the downhill portion I would like to go back and explore the 25 kilometres of cross country ski trails. Thank you for all who attended. I hope to continue our tour of our own backyard with more enjoyable EOC community treks.
