It was a great day for a ski...or a walk ;) Although we all started off strong and fast, Ryan learned it is a little difficult to ski when your binding is no longer attached to your ski. Although Marc's excellent duct-taping job firmly secured the binding back to the ski, the duct tape on the ski bottom made it impossible to glide, and Ryan had to walk out. After lunch at the warming shelter, Catherine, Marc, Ron, and a wandering ne'er-do-well we found in the parking lot (a.k.a. Julie) headed out for more skiing. Although we had some spectacular falls, we all made it home in one piece (the equipment, not so much). We skied approximately 7 km before lunch and 8 km afterward. All-in-all, it was a fun ski, and hopefully the equipment will hold up better next time! Thanks to all for coming!
