Write Up:
Thank you to Adventure Travel Company and the World Partnership Walk Committee for Edmonton partnering with me to host this event. It was a big success with almost 30 people in attendance, including staff and volunteers.

My goal for this event was to raise awareness about and funds for global development and to encourage fellow EOCers to consider Asia and Africa as potential travel destinations.

In my estimation, the event was a resounding success with $310 raised for this year's World Partnership Walk (at least half of this amount was donated during the first two weeks of May when the donations were being matched by a corporate sponsor), with upwards of 25 people learning about how the efforts of Canadians are making a difference in Asia and Africa thanks to our participation in the World Partnership Walk, and judging from the number of people who spoke with me and staff of the ATC about future travel plans, I believe we were successful in encouraging people to choose Asia and Africa as a future travel venue.

Thank you to everyone who attended the event and for listening to me share stories about successful development initiatives and my travel experiences.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions - about the Walk or about travel in Asia or Africa (I've been to India and SE Asia although I didn't talk about those trips as part of the event).
