The wind was blustery but it was a beautiful weekend anyway! 10 of us left the Islet lake trailhead for a 6 km hike with full packs to the Lost Lake shelter. We had lunch, set up our tents and went for another day hike, about 8 km. Back to the shelter site where we had dinner and enjoyed the nice evening, checking out the pond, some small trails. Then the dance party! Complete wtih disco ball, strobe light, glow in the dark bracelets! Fun stuff. up the next morning and we headed out after breakfast to what seemed like a quick hike out, then some of us went for pancakes to top off a fun weekend. It was a good first backpack of the season, and a fun weekend with a great group of people! Thanks to all who came out and made it such fun. Hope to see you again on the trails soon!
