What a lot of snow! What was planned to be a hike on hard packed snow was a slog, breaking trail through ankle to mid calf snow! The start of the trail took a bit of finding, but we did it and hiked 7 km round trip. It does not sound long but slogging through the deep snow without snowshoes it was! Thanks everyone for your spirit of "this is crazy but sure lets go"!! We found the cozy little Push Lake shelter and had a snack then headed back along the trail we had just packed which was much easier! The sun peaked out a few times, but just to tease us. Thanks for coming, it was a great workout! see you on the trails! Joanne
