Three EOCers braved the rain and cold to raise money for and awareness about global development. Before the event, we took in the Global Village to learn about the work supported by the funds raised through the World Partnership Walk. The Walk organizers modified the event and shortened the route. As a result, Pat, Craig and I ended up running most of the route and somehow managed to keep warm throughout the event. Since its inception, the Walk has raised more than $50 million; last year more than $6.8 million was collected to enhance the quality of education, improve health care, increase rural incomes and build the capacity of community-based organizations. Here's hoping for warmer weather next year.
