Saturday Hike: Verdant Pass
Start Time: 9AM (from the trailhead)
Distance: 22.5km round trip
Elevation: 665m
Excerpt from "DWYTITCR" book: John Muir, fountainhead of alpine eulogies, would be silenced by the colossal beauty of this place. The Verdant Pass meadows are a lavish expanse, bigger than some airports. The horizon is splashed white by the distant Hooker Icefield. Rampart peaks rise all around, including maelstroms of rock hardened into whirlpool images.

Sunday Hike: Bald Hills
Start Time: 9AM
Distance: 12.6km
Elevation: 610m
Excerpt from "DWYTITCR" book: Baldness is greatly amired among certain factions. Neo-Nazis. Parents of new-borns. Fans of Shrek. And hikers - because a bald summit makes an excellent grandstand. The Bald Hills in particular offer a panoramic reward way out of proportion ot the trifling effort required to ascend them. You'll see razorback ridges, silver and gray, above the immense turquoise majesty of Maligne Lake. Many of the peaks look like cresting tsunami waves in a petrified sea. One monster mountain is swirled, forming a pipeline. Come see for yourself.

** Note: "DWYTITCR" = "Don't Waste Your Time in the Canadian Rockies".

Members of COC (approx 8) will also be in attendance.
