Itinerary:

Canoe season is here! yay. For beginners wanting to learn the basics of techniques and safety of canoe travel on still and moving water, join us for 2 evenings of beginner canoe lessons, first lesson on a small pond, second on the river.

The lessons will be given by a very experienced, qualified canoe instructor. Mark Lund has written the Guide for Alberta Paddlers which has been in production for 35 years and is a paddling instructor, coach, provincial and national paddling executive, and is currently instructing at Grant Macewan College. What better way than to learn from Mark!

Canoes, PFDs, throw bags, paddles are all provided.

We will meet at 6:30 pm each evening at the dock on the largest Pond (south end) at Hermitage Park on Wednesday, and on Thursday, under the south end of the Groat Bridge in Emily Murphy Park. We will be done by 9:00 pm.

Required Items to Bring:
Swimsuit or clothing that can get wet.
Water, Hat, sandals or shoes that can get wet.
Recommended Items to Bring:

Notes:

- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the EOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where EOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refunds of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in EOC events.

- Details of this event are subject to undergo a change at any point in time, with or without warning.
