Itinerary:
Meet at the parking lot of Gold Bar Park at 6:40 p.m. and leave at 6:45 p.m. sharp! This part of the River Valley Trails and Goldstick Ravine is a nice hike with some lighting on the trails (bring a headlamp for the dark areas). We will begin at Gold Bar lower intermediate trails and follow the path up to Goldstick Ravine double wide trails, before doing a loop that comes back down to riverfront .
The distance will be about 9 kms.
We will meet at 6:40 PM to check in, and leave at 6:45 PM sharp. From the far North end of Gold Bar Parking Lot The route will be a circuit that follows along some gravel path and some rough track trails, for a total round trip of about 9 to 10 km at a brisk pace over >5km/hr (above average hiking pace).TBD based on conditions.

This challenging hike is 9 km in length, which encompasses stepping over fallen tree debris and hiking up and down steep slopes and single track trails. We will have you convinced that you are no longer in the city!

**Please be aware the trail could be wet, or muddy in some sections. Wear good grip footwear.

**We are open to having dogs on the hike, however they must be leashed

Also please note that this is a group hike - therefore "superfast hikers" (>5.4 km/hr and above) should be prepared to wait for the group as a whole throughout the whole hike.
If you're not prepared to do this, then this will not be the event for you.

Similarily - "less than regular hikers" (<5.1 km/hr) - please find the time to get some training hikes in before this one, so that you are not "caught cold" doing this high moderate intermediate pace hike!

Bring walking aids (walking stick, hiking poles, etc) as desired.

We are requesting $2.00 per event in person, or our suggested annual donation of $20 be done electronically.
For your convenience, you can donate via Paypal or PC Banking directly to our Treasurer Donna M tr easurer@edmontonout doorclub.com
