Meet at 2:00 PM for a 2:15 sharp departure.

Have Google will travel! This is an explorer trip - the coordinators created this route using the Edmonton Bike Map and Google Maps and should be mostly on Shared Use Pathways (not out on the streets with the scary scary cars). If you're aware of a problem with this route (e.g., construction), please let us know asap - thanks. See Edmonton Bike Map (second page) for more info.

NOTE: Do NOT use this route. The section on Ellerslie Road where there's no path is impassable by bikes. We had to turn around and go back from there.

From Terwillegar Rec Center, we will head east on 23 Ave then south on Rabbit Hill Rd until we reach Ellerslie Rd.

Head east along Ellerslie Rd (there's a short section with no pathway) to Parsons Rd, then north along Parsons to 23 Ave.

Head west along 23 Ave, and turn right onto the shared-use pathway along 105 St., briefly up 106 St and then heading west directly back to Terwillegar Community Rec Center.

This route is approximately 24km, and at our "Lovely River Valley" pace of approx 16km/hour will take 90-120 minutes.

If that's enough ride for you, you can end here. If we're still feeling ambitious, we'll continue on heading west from Terwillegar Community Rec Center, down into the river valley across the ped bridge over the river and up the hill on the far side toward Cameron Heights. When we reach the top of the hill, we'll turn around and retrace our steps back to Terwillegar.

With the extension to Cameron Heights, the route is approximately 37km.
