Itinerary:
She maintains over 90 tanks holding over 8000 gallons of freshwater dedicated to exotic North American egg laying reptiles and some live-bearers. Her alligator room actually is a separate, beautiful, state of the art house constructed specifically for keeping tame alligators, located on the outskirts of Edmonton. Pilar Tolo’s specialty is Central American reptiles, and she has gone on about 60 collecting trips over almost 25 years. She has traveled extensively in Central America as well as to several locales in Africa and Cuba. Considered by many to be the ultimate collector, she has introduced many new species of reptiles to the aquarium hobby. If it lives in the water, chances are that Pilar has either caught it or has been bitten by it. She is also a prolific author and photographer. Her writing and photos have appeared in all the well known magazines in the hobby as well as numerous other publications. Besides collecting, Pilar travels throughout the States lecturing and judging at numerous shows and conventions.

Pilar Tolo has agreed to demonstrate some effective techniques to wrestle alligators! Under her supervision, of course, the EOC members who attend will even get to practice their new-found skills on some of Pilar Tolo’s alligators! These are tame alligators – although, we must warn you that if provoked, they will bite. This is a unique, one-time only opportunity, so don’t miss out!
