Itinerary:
We will warm up with a couple of runs around the Kingswood Park circuit (0.6km), practicing some downhill skill on the SE corner of the circuit. We will then do the Riverlot 56 loop on the north side of Sturgeon Road (approx 3.2km return back to Kingswood Park), then finish up our trip with the trail from Kingswood Park to Red Willow Park, return (approx 2.5km). Total trip will be about 7km.

Learn Rhonda's Radical Straight-Legged Downhill Technique: Have you struggled with the downhill sections while cross-country skiing? Gaining speed and losing control with skilled onlookers yelling "bend your knees" while you silently curse and exclaim that you ARE, in fact, bending your knees? A special bonus for today - learn Rhonda's technique for tackling downhills on cross-country skis, with full control of your speed and trajectory.

Beginners: You are welcome to join this event. Learn a few basic skills on the first part of the event. If you're a mad prodigy, you can do the rest of the event with us as well, or you may stay on the Kingswood Park circuit and practice your new skills.

Slowpokes and Novices: This trip is specifically for you! Yay! Come on out!

Highly Skilled Fast- Pokes: You are more than welcome to join this event. You can hang out with us per the plan described above, or you're free to do your own thing, including exploring the more extensive network of trails across the road in the Riverlot 56 trails on the south side of Stugeon Road.
